This is part of Chairish’s Fine Jewelry assortment.
A bronze cross pendant from the Byzantine Era trimmed with 21K gold. This bronze cross was likely created by lost wax casting and then further decorations are hand chiseled. The Byzantine Era ran from the 300s to the fall of Constantinople and the Eastern Roman Empire in the 1450's, at which time, the area fell to the Ottoman Empire. The vast area of Byzantium spanned from the Mediterranean coast of Italy to Eurasia.
