This piece is a one-of-a-kind handmade desk once used by a postmaster in the parcel service. This piece originated in the mid-1800s. Masterful woodworking skill was poured into this desk, as evident by the minute details of the piece. Each board of the desk is conjoined with hand-carved dovetailing, while the bottoms of the drawers feature beveled edges for ease of use when sliding in and out of their compartments.
This beautiful piece is in excellent condition for its age, with only small marks visible on the legs. The finish has been preserved well, and will shine for years to come. The desk measures 41"W x 36"L x 37"H. The writing surface is 30"H from the floor. The top four drawers measure 7"W x 11.5" in depth. The bottom two drawers each measure 15.25"W x 18" in depth.
