It is in wonderful vintage condition with no outstanding flaws to the lamp itself. The huge black shade with yellow lining was some water staining on the inside we have not tried to remove. Please see photos. We will ship without the shade if you prefer. Circa 1950s.

Stunning, fabulous, gorgeous, outstanding, phenomenal…….doesn't seem to be just the right word to describe this lamp. It stands an enormous 45.75 inches to the top of its finial and the base is a full 19 inches tall. In the modern Asian or Chinoiserie over-the-top Hollywood Regency style of James Mont and comprised of a bright red-orange ceramic urn shaped base with squared gold ceramic handles. It sets on a black wood stylized Asian base and it topped by a black wood “lid”. Both the Asian base and the lid have a brass band with a cut Asian almost Greek Key design. The raw silk-like shade is lined with a yellow chiffon-like fabric. Unfortunately, there are some water stains to the lining. It all is topped with a large brass Asian style finial. This impressive lamp is sure to make a statement in any home no matter its style of décor or where it is placed. Use it in an entry, living room, office, or bedroom. Mix it with your mid-century modern, Hollywood Regency, industrial, or traditional décor. You’ve fallen in love I know. Make it yours.
