This is an antique painting from the 20th century, depicting a seascape with small boats.

The work is an oil painting with a carved and lacquered wooden frame, original and contemporary to the painting.

It is a painting on canvas, signed bottom left Guinegault Jean Paul, French painter of flowers, still life paintings and seascapes.

Guinegault Jean Paul (1918-2009), was born in Paris, studied with René Jaudon and Louis Roger and with his father Georges Guinegault.

He participated in many exhibitions and became a member of the 'Salon Des Artistes Français' and the 'Salon Des Indépendants'.

Some of this painter's works can be found in the museums of: Arcachon, Brussels, Rochefort.
