This 1875 Elkington egg coddler is an unsurpassed beauty, boasting a not often seen neoclassical design reminiscent of the decorative arts of Pompeii rather than the more standard motifs alluding to birds or chickens. It retains all of its components, and the lid has a tight seal in case you were adventurous enough to try to use it, though it makes a dramatic display piece as well.
As expected, it exhibits wear, overwhelmingly in the form of scuffs, scratches, and light dings to the domed lid, giving it something of a glittering patina. I have not observed any bleeding through of the base metal.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
