Hand knotted in high-quality wool, the all-over field design distinctly resembles the neoclassical golden-beige, brown, and pink colorways of a French Aubusson rug, matched by the soaring, highly-stylized curvilinear floral garlands throughout the field and border. Unique to this modern interpretation, however, is that the thin innermost border seems to barely intercede the continuous field pattern, drawn through the field into the border before it halts at the guard border for a very dimensional emphasis on the repetition.
