Handwoven between 1950-1960, this vintage midcentury 6×14 wool Kilim was discovered in Turkey, enjoying a Shahsavan Persian tribal design denoting a nomadic, diverse origin.
The arresting colorway, including rich varied notes of crimson and burgundy red with accents of turquoise blue, orange, peach, black and Beige/Brown, complements the tribal chevron patterns gorgeously, which themselves create a distinct sense of movement in playful contrast to the patterns in-between for a rare Dual-orientation few pieces of this region enjoy, an uncommon aesthetic pairing with traditional-meets-tribal colors lending rarity and intrigue to a space.
