He is credited with the introduction of the Renaissance open-work style in dishes, trays and other hollowware. This oval breadbasket that dates back to 1876 is a perfect example of that style. Around the entire circumference a series of cutout designs - circles, diamonds and oval shapes decorate it. The rim has a scalloped ornate pattern enriching it. A very special piece that is one hundred and forty three years old that has been restored and is in mint condition. See less
