Exceptional lacquer and gilt iron secretary cabinet by Roger and Robert Thibier.
Executed in the 1960's as a custom commission, this exceptional piece features two orange lacquered cabinets housed in a gilt iron metal structure with two glass shelves. The upper cabinet functions as a secretary desk with one large fold down door with an inset blue leather writing surface. The interior is beautifully outfitted with an open center area that is flanked by two smaller sections, each with locking doors and shelf. A row of organizational drawers is situated below. All interior doors and drawers have gilt detailing and the original gilt iron hardware. The lower cabinet has two locking doors and a fully lacquered interior with one adjustable shelf concealed within.
All keys are present as well as an interior light that will need to be tested.
