The botanicals include Indigo & Red Madder harvested from plants and then ground into a powder. Water is then added to create a wash like watercolor paint. The first layer is a Sumingashi marble print creating a background and then layered with botanicals that capture the wavey scenes by the sea.

INDIGO SOUL - This collection is a small group of emotional Seascapes made with botanical & marbling inks. Reflecting on the introspective, soul-diving moments of Winter & the bountiful rebirth of Spring. The layers of paint remind me of the complexities of our human emotional experiences and the beauty revealed as they are seen together. The multitude of our feelings transform for our one singular purpose. The colors match the emotions with Indigo's deep richness and weight of the Winter seasons and the lightness that Spring may offer in the brighter tones.
