NO ADHESIVES - This geometric sculpture contains more than 3,400 sheets of hand folded 3" square paper and requires no adhesives to construct. Both the design and base fold are original, organic, and self taught. The design is based upon a smaller sculpture with the volume of 32 cubes that both intersect and sit parallel to each other in a rotating manner. This artwork is created by transforming each single cube into a consistent 3x3 cubic variation (3-Dimensional Fractals) which creates a complex form filled with depth and negative spaces. Additional forms are then added to expand the central convergence points adding to the overall aesthetic. This symmetrical sculpture is essentially a mirrored image when the piece is cut in half, flipped, and rotated from several angles. The completed structure may appear as an abstract form but underneath the twisted symmetry exists a concretely defined geometric design.
Upon completion a monochromatic metallic overcoat is applied to illuminate and highlight the overall design, forms, and shapes.
Extremely tedious, intricate, durable and easy to handle. This work has multiple bases and can be displayed in several positions.
It is completely handmade with a repetitive hands on process that requires great attentiveness, knowledge, and skill.. Because of this aspect there are errors and blemishes in comparison to computer generated 3-D Art…This is something I embrace and appreciate about origami sculptures of this magnitude.
I am an ARTchitect, Paper Engineer, and Geometric Enthusiast - “Origami and its mathematical principles are undoubtedly the most universally consistent art form in all the cosmos" - Self taught base folds and original design sculptures and paintings. Thousands of sheets of paper without any adhesives and application of mathematical engineering process into 2-Dimensional Paintings and Drawings. I showcase and express a universal language of physical creation based upon evolving shapes and engineering geometry through a formulaic approach. It is an educational and cerebral art form centered around complex mathematical puzzles in both 2 and 3 Dimensions.
As a self taught artist I have a true affinity for the technical process and challenging aspects of physically creating and realizing designs with my own hands and brain. Everything I create is original to me. This means that I have never seen the works elsewhere. I almost never create the same design twice due to the infinitesimal amount of possible variations within these geometric structures. Pushing the limits and boundaries of Origami and mental dexterity I only challenge myself; however I may be a leader in this timeless artform. Not just in this era but through time.

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller

Cancellations
