Russell (American, 1933-2010). The painting depicts several fishermen in a Chinese landscape. Signed lower right. The artist was born in Brooklyn, NY, attended the Swaine School of Design in New Bedford, Mass., and the University of Kansas. Russell moved to Laguna Beach in 1967 where he was well know for a wide range of plein air type painting, eventually earning the nickname "Poet of the Palette". The painting is in very good condition with no rips, tears, or holes. The stretcher is 24" x 18" x 3/4". The painting is unframed. See less
