Pair of mid 18th century (1740s) colored sheets of music illustrated by George Bickham - The Syren of the Stage, showing a male and female pair of figures playing flute and mandolin, and Love's Bacchanal, showing a pair of male figures on an elegant garden veranda. Champagne gilt frame carved with beaded, rope twist and floral details; sage green mat.
"George Bickham the Younger (c. 1706–1771) was an English etcher and engraver, a print seller, and one of the first English caricaturists. He produced didactic publications, political caricatures, and pornographical prints.
