Tony De Wolf (Antwerp 1961) liked drawing since he was a little boy and from his childhood his goal was to become a great painter. The will to reach the nearly unattainable, to touch the unreachable, to create the almost perfect visual reality in his paintings is there since the beginning.
After seven years of painting classes at the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Tony looked for new horizons, new challenges and found private guidance in the atelier of Willem Dolphyn and later with Peter Van Tongerloo to control the art of still-life painting. His compositions display the technical gifts of the Old Masters yet incorporate a fresh approach in presentation and selection of subjects. His compositions leave the spectator stunned\. you can almost smell the fruit or onions, while enjoying the freshness of their colours. Tony’s chosen objects are painted to perfection including their flaws, the blemishes on fruit, chips in china, scratches in silver, maybe a fray on the linen, all suggesting a past life and adding yet another layer of thought and enjoyment to the paintings. The compositions are thoughtfully considered.
De Wolf brings a certain coolness to his still life paintings, echoing the mood of Morandi's arrangements, of whom the artist is a longstanding admirer. He brings a fresh perspective to the tradition of Flemish and Dutch still lifes and great artist from the 17th century\. Nowadays he is the leader and innovator in the still life concentration. Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

Cancellations
