About this Item:
Volume 1 inscribed/signed by author/translator, Frederick C. Blodi M.D. (1917-1996). First English edition 1982-1994, includes a consecutive run of 11 volumes in 16 books; 1-7, 8 a & b, 9-10, 11 1-a, b, c, Part Two, 3-d. Publisher's blue cloth hardcover, gilt stamped/embossed title on spine cover and front board, profusely illustrated text pages, white/black illustrated semi-gloss dust jackets.
Dimensions: 12 H x 9 D x 1.5 (24 overall) W inches each volume.
Condition: As New; Original publisher's shrink wrap intact; (2) vols. unsealed, in like condition. An exceptional gift quality set.
Provenance: Dr. Paul Henkind (1936-1986) served on the editorial board of Ophthalmic Literature, Investigative Ophthalmology, American Journal of Ophthalmology, Archives of Ophthalmology, and was founding editor of Clinical Signs in Ophthalmology, the PDR for Ophthalmology, and Ophthalmic Seminars with Dr. Fred Blodi. He lavished much time and effort on the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He was extremely active in the Program Committee and the Basic Science Courses, but his chief contribution was in the editorship of Ophthalmology.
