This rare hand-knotted carpet is a blend of two renowned weaving styles, combining the tight weave and Fine floral renderings of the Persian Kerman, along with the airy, open design and regal bearing of the European Savonnerie. This lovely carpet also has a unique color palette, with tones of light blue, blue-green, earth tones, and ivory, recalling the colors of nature, and bringing to mind the sea, the sky, and ice. Part of the newly introduced PGNY Distressed Antique Rug Collection, this carpet is in distressed condition, adding character and intrigue to an already fascinating rug that combines influences from across the globe.
