The Molla Company, founded in England during the late … more This is a glamorous midcentury outdoor dining set attributed to Molla. The Molla Company, founded in England during the late 1800’s and expanded to New York, was one of the first outdoor furniture manufacturers to use cast aluminum, which was easier to move and more resistant to rust than the cast iron furniture of its time.

This vintage cast aluminum dining set includes 4 dining side chairs and a round glass top dining table. The set features a design of faux bamboo fretwork arranged in an oversized Greek key pattern. This stunning look epitomizes Hollywood Regency, and it manages to look both timeless and on trend at the same time. Dorothy Draper would definitely buy this immediately for the Greenbrier hotel.

All of the pieces in this 1950s era outdoor dining set are in very good vintage condition. Every piece is sturdy and well constructed, needing no structural repairs. The white painted finish is chipping throughout, as it might be the original paint. It looks good as is, or it could be repainted with a high gloss white lacquer for a fresh look.

Please note that the cushions shown one of the photos are not included. These were photos taken of the original cushions, when the set was displayed in an enclosed sunroom. New cushions and covers will have to be made for this set.
