I found this wonderful set of 6 French Green Valdrome rectangle placemats at an estate sale.
They are all quilted cotton and made in France in a beautiful Provencal pattern.
They were designed with a small floral red and yellow design on a green background in the center, and a contrasting design around the border.
The back is a solid pale green.
They each measure approximately 17" x 11 1/2".
They are in great shape. The colors are still bright and vibrant on the fronts and the backs do look a little faded.
The original Valdrome tags are still intact on the backs of each of them.
I have always loved all of the Pierre Deux and similar French companies that used Provence patterns and designs in their products.
Valdrome prides itself in keeping alive the Indian Tradition, and only utilizes hight quality tools : pure mercerized cotton, wool serge and top quality water resistant color dyes. The basic colors of Provencal Fabrics are the red, wich comes from madder, the blue from the indigo plant, and the yellow from various plant' sap.
Now that Pierre Deux is out of business, all their products and others like them are becoming harder and harder to find.

- Chairish Express In-Home Delivery
- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.
- Shipping charges start at $799 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
- Only available in selected markets.
- Chairish In-Home Delivery
