Hand knotted in especially thick wool pile, Tulu rugs were known for Minimalist colors and texturally shaggy pieces serving a Dual purpose to protect from cold. This piece in particular embodies its own take on the popular all-over design among Tulu rugs, forgoing the typically perfect repetition by dividing its field design with three finely woven geometric lines; both emphasizing the lack of formula to the pink, red, gray, yellow, blue, and orange hues as well as uniquely incorporating the multi-color fringes into the pattern.
