In our opinion this is one of his finest works.
Impressive size with the frame being 70.5 cm wide and 55.5 cm high.

The different hue colours are so vivid.

Set in a original decorative gilt frame.
Circa early 21st century dated 2001.
Artist biography David Langmead is a known Zimbabwean Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in the year 1965. Langmead's works have been exhibited and sold at auctions worldwide. He is a true master with his use of light and colour. He was born in the eastern Highlands area of Zimbabwe, he loves to capture wildlife with big skies and breathtaking landscape views in Africa.
A quote from the artist. “I have, so far, never discovered a place that so much alters human perception than the African bushveld. Many years ago we made the mistake of cutting ourselves off from animals, but in the bushveld one can still listen to the conversation between nature and the divine. It is a place where a finely sustained balance exists against a backdrop of raw beauty. When I spend time there I discover myself taken by a heightened sense of consciousness that feeds my capacity for awe and astonishment. I am inspired by the power of Africa and if I manage to capture a little of this in my work, then half my talent has been put to good use.”
David started his art career in the 1990’s and he exhibited in many group and also solo exhibitions around South Africa. His works have also sold in galleries lik the Cape Gallery also the Everard Read Gallery. Towards the end of the 1990’s David moved to the town of Nieu Bethesda where he built his art studio. In 2003, his works where found by the international market and he now paints exclusively for Call of Africa’s Native Visions Galleries. In the early 2000’s David had works selected by Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum’s juried “Birds In Art” competition. Since 2003 his work has been exhibited annually at the SCI shows in Las Vegas and Reno. David’s work is held in numerous private collections worldwide.
The Eastern Highlands, also known as the Manica Highlands, is a mountain range on the border of Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The Eastern Highlands extend north and south for about 300 kilometres (190 mi) through Zimbabwe's Manicaland Province and Mozambique's Manica Province.
The Highlands are home to the Eastern Zimbabwe montane forest-grassland mosaic ecoregion. The ecoregion includes the portion of the highlands above 1000 meters elevation, including the Inyangani Mountains, Bvumba Mountains, Chimanimani Mountains, Chipinge Uplands, and the isolated Mount Gorongosa further east in Mozambique. The Southern miombo woodlands ecoregion lies at lower elevations east and west of the highlands.
The highlands have a cooler, moister climate than the surrounding lowlands, which support distinct communities of plants and animals. The ecoregion is home to several plant communities: submontane and montane grasslands, moist evergreen forest, dry montane forest, miombo woodlands, and heathlands
