Amazing "Sleep O Matic" model sofa designed by Marco Zanuso and produced by the Pizzetti company in the 1950s.
The sofa is presented with the original fabric in excellent condition, an iridescent velvet striped with a tiger's eye effect, with the characteristic brass feet typical of the designer in the early 1950s.
The sofa is extremely elaborate as it has a mechanism that allows it to be transformed into a chaise longue, as shown in the photographs, and also has a comfortable compartment under the seat where you can store objects for the living room.
The production mark is present in the internal compartment and on the straps.
Excellent general conditions, we only point out three tiny 2 mm cigarette holes on the seat, which do not compromise the aesthetics because they are minimal and barely visible.

Marco Zanuso (1916-2001) was a famous active Italian designer known for his contribution to Italian modernism and for his work in the fields of industrial design and interior architecture.
Zanuso worked with many innovative materials and cutting-edge technologies for his time, creating iconic pieces that have become symbols of 20th century Italian design. Some of his most famous works include armchairs such as the "Lady Chair" and the "Senior Chair", produced in collaboration with Arflex, as well as the iconic "Sleep-O-Matic" for Pizzetti, an example of versatile and functional design of the years '50.
Its aesthetic is characterized by clean lines, ergonomic shapes and a cutting-edge approach to the use of materials. Zanuso contributed significantly to defining the style of modern Italian design and is recognized internationally for his influential work. This piece has an attribution mark,
