A fine set of four antique Chinese Qing dynasty carved rosewood dragon chairs, circa 1880.
Each chair is finely carved crest with two facing dragons and a flaming pearl, signifying prosperity and wisdom, to each side of the crest is a carved foo dog finial. The seat backs having carved panels with exotic birds nestled amongst prunus trees, the chair backs are carved and pierced with birds and fruiting vines. The chair seats have removeable seat cushions, the seat edges and chair fronts having a carved frieze, the chairs are raised on turned legs with 'H' frame stretchers.
The chairs are of the very finest quality and are made from heavy guage rosewood, condition is excellent, the chairs are ready to grace your home.
