Great two-tone finish, the rider is a darker bronze and the horse has a lighter patina which shows detail of fur, veins, and muscles. The Jockey holds metal reins in his hand, and there is metal tack detail on the stirrups. I am unable to make out clearly an artist's signature, but from internet research this is a recast from an early Mene work of art. I also do not know how old this piece is without knowing the maker. Nice large statement piece, and very heavy- weighs a little over 27 pounds. The detail on this sculpture sets it apart from more primitive sculptures. See less
