This rare playful presentation features wonderful detailed faces, charming actions and whimsical music. Arranged on a faux bois paper covered wooden platform, a young organ grinder and his monkey entertain a little girl. When wound, a merry tune is heard the monkey dances in a circle, the boy turns the organ crank and both children move their heads.
The German manufacturer Zinner & Sohn produced sensational mechanical dolls and toys from 1845-1926. They worked in mostly bisque and wood and were a world leader in making mechanical and musical dolls. The bisque faces of the children were probably made by Simon and Halbig, another German firm. Both have glass eyes, mohair wigs and very detailed costumes. Note the girl's delicate apron, the boy's felt hat with ribbons and his intricate leggings. A charming toy from years past.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
