It is marked as shown … Read more This is a Theodore Haviland 1903 Covered Butter Dish (or Cheese Dish) in Schleiger 630-2. It is marked as shown with the underlined Theodore backstamp. The dish is white with pink and blue flowers, gold trim and a matching lid.

The base dish measures 7.75 inches wide from handle to handle. The center section is 5.00 inches wide and the dish is 1.50 inches tall at the rim. It is just over 3.75 inches to the top of the handle on the lid.

The lid has a raised porcelain design at the top that is very beautiful There is also some shapoing and beading around trhe inside rim of the base dish plus a raised and gold painted design at the handles. There is a slim green decorative band at the rim of both pieces plus some gold trim.

There is some missing gold trim on the rims, not that it is noticable. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or other damage. This dish is over one hundred years old and in excellent condition.
