This is a Japanese Kutani hard paste porcelain chocolate pot, signed in red on the bottom. The pot can be used for tea or coffee. The date is circa 1900.
It is beautifully hand painted, with a lot of detail. There is a body of water with a dock with a person and nature scenes, people and houses. In the background there are trees, foliage and mountains on the skyline. On one side looks to be of a vibrant colored tree that forms the spout. There are spots of raised beading of moriage or enamel, delicately applied by hand.
The border designs and colors are rich and vibrant. The spout, finial and handle are painted and trimmed in gold.
