The base has been given a newer, professionally applied layered antique gray painted finish and is lightly distressed revealing the natural wood below while complimenting the contrasting black painted top.
All scratches, cracks, dings, or age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the appeal nor function of this heavy console table. Note nick on left leg and scratches/distress to top, etc.
