Georg Muche was born in Querfurt (Saxony) in 1895. In 1913 he began to study painting in Munich at the private school for painting and graphic art run by Paul Weinhold and Felix Eisengräber. As he did not pass the entrance examination for the Royal Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Muche decided to go to Paris. The outbreak of war in 1914 prevented this. Instead, Muche went to Berlin. There he came into contact with the expressionist artists around Herwarth Walden's gallery Der Sturm. In 1916, the gallery showed 22 of his paintings in the 37th exhibition "Max Ernst - Georg Muche". This was followed by the exhibitions "Paul Klee - Georg Muche" with 30 Muche works and "Alexander Archipenko - Georg Muche" in 1918. Muche also worked as a painting teacher at the Sturm's own art school.
1920-1927 Georg Muche worked as a master craftsman at the Bauhaus, he led several preliminary courses, and from 1921 he was master of form in the weaving workshop. In 1923 he headed the commission that organized the Bauhaus exhibition. from 1927 to 1930, Muche taught at Johannes Itten's private art school in Berlin. He then became a professor of painting at the State Academy in Breslau until his dismissal in 1933. He again taught at the "Kunst und Werk" school in Berlin until 1938. from 1939 to 1958, Muche worked in Krefeld and taught the master class for textile art at the engineering school there. In 1960, Muche finally moved to Lindau on Lake Constance, where he worked as a freelance painter and graphic artist until his death in 1987.

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

Cancellations
