Period 1970s brand arthur krupp the arthur krupp company was founded in 1915 in austria, transforming the berndorfer metallwarenfabrik arthur krupp, originally founded as a sole proprietorship in 1843 by alexander schoeller and alfred krupp. The foundation as a joint stock company (ag) took place in collaboration with the austrian creditanstalt. Later, in 1916, mitterberger's copper works were also purchased.
