Amazing and unusual Mercury Glass Compote with shiny and matte glass portions.
Stem and outside have a matte finish, while inside bowl is high gloss mercury glass.Hand blown glass, circa 1880. Hand painted very fine flower details all around. Condition very good- no chips, cracks- normal wear commensurate with age, some slight wear mostly at bottom edge where some shine has rubbed off. Height 7 inches x 7" wide at top.
