One boasts a butterfly scene and the other features a floral design and border. Both pillows have their ultra mid century designs on both sides (including signatures on both sides). They were designed by famous designer Jim Thompson in Thailand in the 1950's and 1960's. They are in excellent condition!

James Harrison Wilson Thompson was a famous American designer in the mid century era. Time magazine claimed he "almost singlehandedly saved Thailand's vital silk industry from extinction". He was born in 1906 and disappeared in 1967. At the time of his disappearance he was one of the most famous Americans living in Asia and his disappearance from the Cameron Highlands generated one of the largest land searches in Southeast Asian history, and is one of the most famous mysteries in the region.
