The headboard was made for the "Breton" series by John Widdicomb Company in Grand Rapids during the 1940s or 1950s and retailed by Knapp and Tubbs in Chicago. This solid fruitwood piece, enhanced with the remarkable hand embroidery, is a treasure. The embroidery is with gold colored thread on a black Mexican manta cloth background. See less
