Often misattributed to Maurizio Tempestini, these brutalist Richard Barr-designed lamps first appeared the Laurel Lamp Company archives in the 1974 catalogue. The Laurel Lamp Foundation has confirmed no documented relationship between Tempestini and the Laurel Lamp Company, hence the attribution to Barr.
These lamps exhibit imposing scale, featuring heavy cast aluminum bodies finished in a weathered bronze. Black cast aluminum bases. Would make an impressive statement atop a period credenza.
Overall good vintage condition, with some scraping and losses to the black paint on the bases. Original patina to the bronzed finish. This set features newer cord and sockets, but with apparently original harps. Tested and *working* but we cannot be responsible for the integrity of pre-existing electrical wiring. Please have inspected by a qualified electrician before use. Shades and bulbs not included. 38.5" to the top of the socket. 7" diameter base.
