This is a large frame that was made in Germany in the early 70s by a master carpenter. Notice how he reinforced the corners.
Aged gold finish on the outer and inner edges. The middle portion has a beautiful ombré striation in shades of gray.
It is in age appropriate condition with some minor nicks.
We will leave the art work in the frame for stability during shipping. It is a print purchased at the Louvre in 1973 of an
Amboise-Louis Garneray painting "The Taking of the Kent". It that has been glued to a backboard, but it is actually quite nice to look at. From far away it looks like an oil. Or we can remove it if you would prefer.
The frame measures 34.25" x 28.25"
