Antique English creamware mug in chinoiserie style. It features brown transfer-print and polychrome enamel hand-painted chinoiserie scenes including figures, pavilions, flowers and trees, etc.. It has a brilliant glassy glaze and light weight. Dated early 19th century around 1820s.
There are two intersecting hair crazing (as shown in the photos), one extending to the bottom edge. The cracks on the handle are natural. It has small underglaze crazing throughout. There are stains or yellowing due to its age . It makes a great display as a beautiful bicentennial antique.
It measures approximately 3 1/4” in diameter at the top( without handle), 3 1/4” tall. less
