Vibrant, cheerful colors capture a feeling of lightness as a bouquet of purple wildflowers in a clear glass of water rest on a clear blue plate. Geometric panes of color in the background make a suggestion of windows to the outdoors. The table is touched by reflective violet shadows and draped with a yellow and orange striped floral cloth that brings a bit of delight and inspiration taken from a perennial garden.

The painting is approached with a simplicity of spirit using line to create spaces for the palette of colors to inform the imagery on a sensory basis. It's a summery painting that artfully combines detail and open space for the eye to rest in.
