The lamp is equipped with a technically sophisticated yet aesthetic mechanism: using an acrylic glass wheel and a metal ball connected to it by visible wire cables as a counterweight, the lamp can be adjusted to any height. The extended swivel arm and the lamp head can be rotated around their own axis.
The Baltensweiler couple developed this lamp in 1955. Originally designed for their own use, it later went into production for the first time with a limited edition of 10 pieces.
