These amazingly designed chairs by Alberto Marconetti are comprised of oak, painted iron and leather strapwork. Basket weave style leatherwork to the backrest, painted iron frames and iron loops and accents throughout. They appear modern yet as if crafted for equipage of the ancient Roman equestrian order. Solid and quite comfortable for every day use. Reminiscent of the creative works of Carlo Bugatti. Provenance: directly out of an Estate in Boca Raton, Florida, from an heir to the Häagen-Dazs fortune. NOTE: there are a pair of armchairs also available (total of 14, sold individually) - see separate listing. ALL chairs are signed to verso.
