Cathrineholm Lotus Ware was made from 1962-1965. They were made in about 11 colours, including combinations. According to company literature, designer Grete Prytz Kittelsen was responsible for the form and colour whilst Arne Clausen, another Cathrineholm designer, pushed for the idea of lotus leaves. Lotus ware became incredibly popular not just in its native Norway but across Europe, in Japan and the USA. Designed to be beautiful to cook in as well as serve in. Piece measures 7.5”/19cm in diameter with an angled 5.75”/14.5cm handle. Overall length is 12.5. A 5.5”/14cm diameter lid rests over the opening of the saucepan. Just under 4”/10cm high without lid and 5”/12.7cm height including lid. A beautiful piece to add to your collection. See less
