Cathrineholm Lotus Ware was made from 1962-1965. They were made in about 11 colours, including combinations. According to company literature, designer Grete Prytz Kittelsen was responsible for the form and colour whilst Arne Clausen, another Cathrineholm designer, pushed for the idea of lotus leaves. Lotus ware became incredibly popular not just in its native Norway but across Europe, in Japan and the USA. Designed to be beautiful to cook in as well as serve in. Piece measures 8.75”/21.8cm in diameter with an additional 2.5”/28.7cm including carrying handles, 8-3/8”/21.2cm diameter lid rests on inside lip. Just over 4” high without lid and 5.5”/13.4cm height including lid. A beautiful piece to add to your collection. See less
