First, we can tell it was originally giltwood. At some point in its past, the gilt was removed to reveal the walnut naturally and then varnished. The varnish is still in good condition. As for the original marble top, eventually, the marble got cracked and was professionally repaired (see images of marble bottom). The repair on the marble is well done and stable. To handle, the marble top comes off and should be crated if traveling long distances. The marble weighs 65 lbs. and the frame is 40 lbs. Complete: H=30 in. W=60 in. D=24 in. 105 lbs. Marble Top: H= 1 in. W= 56 in. D=20 in. 65 lbs. Table Frame: 40 lbs. less
