Cole oil landscape painting depicting a cottage at sunset. The cottage sits nestled in trees beside a stream. The sky overhead painted with the last light of day. It is very detailed with rich pigment and brush strokes are subtle but visible at close range. The artist signed the bottom left corner “E. Cole”. The painted canvas is tacked to a stretcher and is set in an ornate gilt plastered wood frame. The back of the canvas is covered in cardboard. Painting measures 11.5" W x 17.63" H.
