These authentic 20th-century ritual armbands were handcrafted by the Urubu-Ka’apor people of Maranhão, Brazil, using natural avian feathers and hand-knotted cotton fiber. "24 85CH" exhibition label on the reverse. While the specific individual maker is unidentified, the set is consistent with the ethnographic featherwork of the Amazonian basin and is presented in a custom acrylic vitrine typical of gallery exhibitions from the 1970s and 1980s. The design elements feature vibrant yellow and black plumage mounted on a wood canvas support, reflecting traditional indigenous craftsmanship and geometric symmetry.
Feathers and textiles are pristine, colors are bright. Wood frame and and canvas are in great shape. Minor wear to outer casing but no gouges or cracks. Ready to hang.
