These double lamps are fairly hard … Read more This lamp features a wrought iron base and two lights with thick glass shades. These double lamps are fairly hard to come by, so I was delighted when I found this one. The wrought iron base has been repainted, and the black electrical cord runs down the back side with fasteners to keep it in place. The two glass shades, made from what is known as pâte de verre in French, are not signed, but the quality is exquisite. Instead of being round, they are four-sided. They are held in place by rings that are part of the bayonet sockets, which means that I wasn't able to have the sockets replaced as I normally do. I have fitted them with socket inserts that allow you to use screw-base light bulbs. I also decided to keep the original French plug, so I will include a converter so that you can plug it easily into an American outlet. This lamp is in very good vintage condition and dates to the Art Deco period (1920's to 1930's).

The total height of this lamp is 18" (45.8 cm). The width at the top is 11 1/2" (29.2 cm). The metal base measures 8 1/4" (21 cm) in length. Each of the glass shades measures 5" (12.2 cm) in length and 3 7/8" (9.8 cm) in diameter. See less
