About Don Rickles (1926-2017): Don Rickles was an American stand-up comedian and actor, known for his insult comedy. Rickles was a frequent guest on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, appearing more than 100 times. He was revered by celebrities such as Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin whom he would frequently tease in his standup routines.
About C.P.O. Sharkey: C.P.O. Sharkey was an American sitcom television series starring Don Rickles that aired on NBC from 1976-1978. Chief Petty Officer Sharkey, played by Rickles, worked at a naval recruitment center in California. His character is sarcastic, but he comes to genuinely care for his men.
