Opening its doors in 1927 by former members of the Russian Imperial Ballet, this wonderful restaurant became a gathering place for Russian expatriates and those in the entertainment industry. High-profile guests have included Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Mel Brooks, Barbara Streisand, and more! In 1979 Madonna worked at the Russian Tea Room as as a coat clerk. The restaurant has also been featured in films and shows such as When Harry Met Sally, Tootsie, Gossip Girl, The Nanny, and more!
