Late Qing Dynasty Red Lacquered Elm Trunk. Made in Shandong East China, late 19th century. Feature a rectangular body with dovetail construction at the corners and lower carved relief. The trunk has traditional moon hardware at the center, handles along each side and opens to a natural pine interior.
