1968 Betty Thomson Lucite 'Multiplications' Cube Sculptural Toy.
Eight inter connected lucite cubes, can be folded/organized in multiple ways. As a single large cube it measures 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" x 2 1/4". It can also be elongated into a 1 1/4" x 4 1/2" x 2 1/4" rectangle, etc.
Originally created for the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) as the second item the published and explores the intersection of play and sculptural art.
One cube is marked 1968 Betty Thomson. A patent for this design as a "System of hinged polygonic shapes" was awarded in 1971.
