A very tall and highly attractive 18th-century georgian oak chest of two over four graduated drawers, with beautifully figured oak, brass handles, and escutcheons, raised on bracket feet. The four quarter sawn oak graduated drawers, run nice and smoothly and are topped by a pair of drawers with dovetail joints, which still retain their blue lining paper. When the drawers are removed, there are some interesting decorative carvings on the underside of the frieze drawer - as shown in the last photograph.
this is a substantial chest of drawers - with the drawers measuring 54cm in depth - making it ideal for storage.
at some point in its life, it has been updated with a change of handle design, and the carcass has been separated into two pieces, making maneuvering the piece much easier. Dowels now keep the piece together for strength and sturdiness. It has seen numerous repairs over the years, which would be expected for a piece that is nearly 300 years old, which only adds to its story and charm.

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).
- On approved returns, the buyer is responsible for the full cost of return packing and shipping.
Cancellations
- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
