In 1893 Vilmos Zsolnay introduced the famous luminescent glaze called 'Eosin'. The term, named after the Greek goddes Eos, goddess of dawn, was used to describe this unique finish.This technique became a trademark of Zsolnay and a favorite of art nouveau artists. The technique is a well-kept secret of the manufacture and its magical appearance has captivated collectors all over the world since it was first presented.

Ceramic artist Judit Nádor graduated in 1962 as a ceramics major at the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts. From 1962, she was a designer at the Zsolnay Porcelángyár in Pécs. 1967: Award for the most beautiful product of the year; 1974: 1st prize at the 1st National Ceramics Exhibition in Pécs.

She often used the motifs of folk carvings on porcelain,characterized by constructiveness and stylization. The ancient culture and tradition of the peoples of the East come alive again in her art. Its space-dividing grids and columns, formed from pyrogranite and ashlar elements, are based on positive-negative forms and the rhythm.
